PERM: Key Accounts Manager: Cape Town Sales - Cape Town

Description

The role of a key account manager is to develop long lasting relationships with Assureclouds clients with the intention of securing as much of the clients Food Safety spend as possible on an annual basis. This role is strategic in that it requires the candidate to understand the operations of their client in a way that allows them to identify growth opportunities. This support structure allows more time to be spent developing client relationships. The growth can be developed through growth on existing clients spend through existing products and introduction of new products, as well as new potential key accounts.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in microbiology, biotechnology, environmental health, analytical chemistry, food or veterinary technology.
  • Proven regional sales experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable own vehicle.
  • Exposure to the Food Safety industry.

Responsibilities

  • Employ all necessary sales strategies to ensure annual targets are met.
  • Set up and attend meetings with each client.
  • Develop close business relationships with key stakeholders at each client.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional Assurecloud products and services with the intention of increasing the annual revenue generated from each client.
  • Attempt to secure service level agreements with all clients.
  • Monitor the expiry dates of all current service level agreements with the intention of renewing agreements in advance.
  • Conduct accurate costing analysis to ensure services offered are in line with client budget and Assurecloud profitability requirements
  • Ensure all client specific requirements are communicated to coordinators before delivery of any service.
  • Monitor service delivery by continuously requesting and documenting client feedback.
  • Provide regular feedback on each account to the CCO on the following key indicators such as Performance vs target, performance vs PY, growth potential and concerns or challenges.
  • Assist with the collection of outstanding revenue by promoting upfront payment for all services not delivered under service level agreements, or by securing purchase orders before allowing services to be delivered.
  • Provide accurate information for invoicing and monitor the accuracy of invoicing. - Ensure all quotations are generated through CRM, and that all outstanding quotations are closed out.
  • Capture all client specific information in CRM or relevant AssureCloud database and ensure this information is kept up to date (Signed contracts, contacts list, etc.)

Description

The role of the Analyst in the testing laboratory is to plan the testing schedule and to conduct the testing of samples submitted to the laboratory so that work is completed within required turnaround times.

Requirements

  • National Diploma or Degree in Analytical Chemistry.
  • 1-2 Years’ experience with nutritional or biotoxin or heavy metal analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct simple and complex tests independently and troubleshooting where necessary.
  • Responsible for the verification of results and interpret data against known sources of information.
  • Write SOP’s.
  • Improve laboratory efficiency.
  • Technical signatory of 80% to 100% of tests of own department.
  • Ensuring adherence to departmental TAT’s and early warnings to direct supervisor of any delay on TAT.
  • Oversee instrument operations.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of laboratory instruments.
  • Cleaning & disinfection of equipment.
  • Notification to management of calibration and service requests.
  • Ensure that all analysis and related tasks are performed in accordance with OHS and Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures.
  • Implementation of quality TAT corrective actions for area of responsibility.
  • Ensure correct stock levels are maintained effectively for testing.
  • Managing consumable costs.
  • Ensure good working relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Other duties as assigned by the company, within the employee’s scope of work.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Familiarise yourself with relevant procedures and read all relevant MSDSs.
  • Correctly and safely dispose of chemicals, solvents and laboratory waste according to the relevant Standard Operating Procedure / Material Safety Data Sheet.
  • Wear correct Personal Protective Equipment and conform to all relevant SHEQ procedures and signage.
