TEMP Food Auditor: Durban Food Safety - Kwa-Zulu Natal

Description

To conduct periodic food safety audits to determine if the client’s organization is compliant with ISO standards, for the purpose of certifying the organization’s food safety management system (FSMS) is according to that standard.

Requirements

  • A National Diploma in Environmental Health as a minimum
  • Understanding of the requirements of R638 from the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act 54 of 1972, SANS10049 and Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993
  • A maximum of 1-year Food Safety or Occupational Health and Safety experience
  • Driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Fully COVID vaccinated

Responsibilities

  • Observe the organization’s food preparation, handling, storage and transportation processes
  • Interview food preparation, handling, etc. personnel within the scope of the organization’s FSMS
  • Review the organization’s food safety related records and documents (e.g. receiving records, HACCP plan)
  • Issue a formal audit report to the organization and certification body as well as issue ISO 22000 certificate
  • Arrange travel means, lodging, etc. when traveling to a client site
  • Issue accurate and complete invoicing for the client in a timely manner
  • Conduct timely follow-ups with client quality assurance of reports
  • Submit all reports on time as per project protocol
  • Ensure all equipment used during audits are clean and in a good working condition
  • Obey all lawful instruction provided by managers
  • Must wear correct personal protective equipment (PPE)

The role of the Training Administrator is to plan and schedule training for customers in accordance with the Training Quality Management System and business procedures and manage the training accreditation process and all projects from planning, scheduling and issuing of certificates.

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Previous training business and accreditation management and coordinating all training projects experience.
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office Packages, and specifically Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Plan all training courses (public and virtual as well as on-site training) for all new and existing customers as per business procedures.
  • Administer new clients in accordance with relevant training procedures.
  • Record keeping of all trainer’s information and ensure latest and up to date information is available.
  • Correct allocation of trainers to planned training activities based on qualification, expertise and workload.
  • Plan training to ensure that business’s quarterly budgets are met.
  • Maintenance and monitoring of training dates in the operations schedule.
  • Coordinating with finance team to ensure invoicing is done on time and proof of payment have been received before issuing of certificates.
  • Update and maintain the training register and proposal database.
  • Implementation of Learner Management System in support of the Head of Training.
  • Schedule venues for planned training courses and perform all administrative tasks needed for the successful delivery of training courses.
  • Provide assistance to Head of Training when required.
  • Ensure the best quality of execution of all outputs delivered.
  • Assistance with training tenders and identification training opportunities.
  • Carrying out any additional tasks assigned by manager.

Responsibilities

  • Be polite and presentable when dealing with clients.
  • Ensure the relevant documents are completed and present to ensure traceability and date of collection for samples.
  • Pack samples in the relevant fridge in the designated area in order of collection on return to the laboratory.
  • Perform sampling as and when required using prescribed procedures.
  • Verification of equipment prior to sampling (when required).
  • Understand and comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure vehicle is maintained in a clean condition and in good working order at all times.
  • Report any issue or incidents with the vehicle to the Logistics Coordinator on the same day before the close of the business.
  • Maintain all relevant documentations relating to the vehicle (ie: Petrol Slips etc)
  • Treat company Property with care and respect (e.g Cellphone).
  • Always be available to receive instructions from the office.
